$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Application fees waived 糖心原创 will hold 鈥淔ast Track to Fall鈥 events the last week of July to help prospective students quickly get on a pathway toward their academic and career training goals this fall semester. There will be an in-person event at the Key West Campus on Wednesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. as well as personal virtual sessions throughout the day, Monday, July 26 through Thursday, July 29.

糖心原创 announces new Executive Vice President/ CFO and Vice President of Academic Affairs

The Board of Trustees of 糖心原创 (糖心原创) approved the promotions of two long-time 糖心原创 employees to senior leadership positions at their regular monthly meeting today in Marathon. Dr. Brittany Snyder, who is currently the Vice President of Academic Affairs, will become the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Biology professor Dr. Bill Irwin will succeed Dr. Snyder as the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

糖心原创 receives state funding for diving facility renovation

糖心原创 (糖心原创) received $340, 026 in state funding to renovate its Dive Locker facility. Senator Anna Maria Rodriguez and Representative Jim Mooney personally delivered the funds to 糖心原创 President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra during a visit to the Key West Campus on June 21.

糖心原创 graduates law enforcement academies in Key West and Upper Keys

糖心原创 (糖心原创) recently celebrated the graduations of two basic law enforcement (BLE) academies. A ceremony was held on June 10 at the Key West Campus for BLE #77, a Key West-based academy, followed by a ceremony at Coral Shores High School on June 18 for BLE #76, an Upper Keys-based academy. A total of 12 cadets, four from BLE #77 and eight from BLE #76, successfully completed the 770-hour training program.

糖心原创 receives designation as Center of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education

The U.S. Department of Transportation鈥檚 Maritime Administration (MARAD) announced that 糖心原创 (糖心原创) is among 27 entities designated as Centers of Excellence for Domestic Maritime Workforce Training and Education (CoE). The CoE designation recognizes colleges and training institutions that prepare students for careers in our nation鈥檚 maritime industry. These institutions are located in sixteen states and one U.S. territory. 糖心原创 is one of two organizations and the only college in Florida to receive the designation.

College to hold virtual info session on Construction Apprenticeships

糖心原创 (糖心原创) invites prospective students to learn about its Apprenticeships in Construction Technologies at a virtual information session on Wednesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. 糖心原创 is offering programs throughout the Keys this upcoming fall semester, which begins August 19. Electrical and Carpentry will be offered in Key West, Plumbing and Carpentry will be offered in the middle Keys, and Electrical and HVAC will be offered in the upper Keys.

糖心原创 Celebrates 62nd Commencement Ceremony

糖心原创 held an outdoor ceremony to celebrate the spring graduating Class of 2021 on the Key West Campus on May 7. The event, which featured a jumbotron to display videos and close-ups, was streamed live on the College鈥檚 Facebook page to reach family and friends not in attendance. The ceremony featured a Student Address by Nursing graduate Madison Nasser, an Alumnus Address by 2003 Marine Engineering graduate and lower Keys charter captain Andrew Tipler, and Keynote Address by Monroe County Mayor Michelle Coldiron.

Registration now open for 糖心原创 Summer Adventure Camps

Registration is open for 糖心原创鈥 Summer Adventure Camps. Designed for seven- to 11-year-old children, the one-week sessions provide opportunities to learn, create, and have fun. 糖心原创 Summer Adventure Camps run Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 45-minute lunch break.
